  Tumay Gunaydin

Born in Istanbul, Tümay Günaydin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University, where she had the opportunity to work in studios of several internationally recognized sculptors. She was chosen as one of four sculptors to present her work at the prestigious Istanbul Art Exhibit at the Borusan Arts and Culture Center in 1999. In the same year, she was selected to represent Mimar Sinan University at the National Prokonnesos Marble Sculpture Symposium. One of her large-scale abstract marble figurative works is on display in the public space at Marmara Island Harbor. In 2001, she moved to New York City, where she continues her artistic journey as a painter and sculptor. Günaydın has worked as an art director and costume designer for numerous independent feature films for the past ten years, and she has participated in various exhibition projects, including The Public Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, and the First Woman Rights Expo at TÜYAP Istanbul.
