Kurtalan Ekspres was founded in 1973 by Baris Manco, one of Turkey’s legendary singers and composers in the Anatolian rock genre. The group co-wrote songs with and accompanied Manço until he passed away in 1999, after which the band began working with Cem Karaca, another legendary Turkish rock singer and composer. The band released its debut album 3552, best known with its hit song Mor Elbisen, in 2003. The program will be comprised of Kurtalan Ekspres’ own repertoire as well as several of Manço’s greatest hits that made a huge impact in the Turkish music scene for much of the 1970s through 1990s.

Ahmet Güvenç, Bass Guitar
Eser Taşkıran, Keyboard
