A Mediterranean Journey unites Cem Duruöz, Demetra George and Richard Weiss for a celebration of Mediterranean music with an emphasis on Turkish folk and classical music. The ensemble, which comprises of a guitar, a piano and soprano vocals, will perform arrangements from the music of the Mediterranean cultures.

Cem Duruöz will begin the musical journey on the guitar with timeless examples from traditional Turkish music including Kara Toprak from Asik Veysel and Sultaniyegah Sirto. Richard Weiss' performance on the piano will lead the journey to Spanish concertos of Tárrega, Albéniz and Joaquin Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez while Demetra George's soprano vocals will take us to Italian operas by Puccini. In this special New York City performance, the ensemble will also perform Greek and Israeli folk music, and popular Broadway show tunes.
