Alper Yilmaz Project (www.alperyilmaz.net) is an ensemble established in 2005 for Alper Yilmaz's debut album project, bringing together New York's foremost musicians. The Project not only gives the band members absolute freedom of expression, as well as providing them with more harmonic and rhythmic flexibility, but also serves as a platform to which each musician contributes equally and freely. The general framework of the band's music is outlined by the compositions of Alper Yilmaz.

The Alper Yilmaz Project will release its debut recording Junk Mail in April 2006, featuring Alper Yilmaz on electric bass and vocals, Dave Binney on alto saxophone, Michael McGinnis on soprano saxophone and clarinet, Matthias Bublath on keyboards, and Andy Sanesi on drums.
