Andy Sanesi (drums)

Fellow New Yorker Andy Sanesi received his undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston and his Master’s degree from New York University, where he later served as a faculty member in their Jazz Studies program. A renowned drummer and percussionist in New York City, Sansei has been featured on BBC Television with the Harlem Gospel Choir, “Today In New York” on Channel 4 with Goodbye Girl Friday, the Couch Tour video soundtrack, the Nashville New Music Seminar, the soundtrack for Kevin Smith’s Vulgar scored by Ryan Shore, Grisly Labs Sampler, and a PS2 video remix game with Diesel Boy. He has also performed with some of today’s hottest bands and artists such as Live, Nelly Furtado, Jay Z, and OAR, as well as with the internationally-renowned musicians and groups such as the Harlem Gospel Choir, John Zorn, John Ellis, Charles Blenzig, Frank Foster, Sam Bush and Danny Sadownick, to name but a few. He is a partner in “Unstable Sound”, a New York-based production and recording company. His production credits include Good Bye Girl Friday, Cuban Cowboys, Radio Mundial, Mimulus, Bomb Squad, and Queen Esther.
