Lâl is the portrait of a German widow, living and working as a psychoanalyst in Istanbul. One evening, after a long separation, she meets with her daughter who has joined the Kurdish guerilla in Eastern Turkey. The daughter reveals an amazing secret to her mother. And the night will yet bring another surprise.
