Tassos Boulmetis

Tassos Boulmetis was born in Istanbul in 1957. He moved to Greece in 1964. He studied physics at the University of Athens. Later on, he studied direction at the University of California (UCLA) with a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation. During his studies in California, he also worked as an assistant. When he moved back to Greece, he started his career as a director/producer of TV shows in national television channels. He was the co-producer and scriptwriter of the short film The Dream Factory, which acquired 8 awards in Greece and the Golden Award of Fantastic Movies in Houston Festival. Since 1988, he has been directing TV spots, and specialized in special effects and processing of electronic images.
