Ryan Shams (Habib)
Ryan Shams is an MFA candidate in acting at UCSD. His New York credits include
Michael Doesn't Live Here Anymore (Chashama), Epimenides: The
Musical (The Lamb's Theater), and In the Park by the Coffee Shop
(TSI/Playtime). He performed in the UCSD/La Jolla Playhouse productions
of Citizens of Rome (Baldwin New Play Festival), Silvius in
As You Like It, and The Labyrinth. His regional credits include
Fully Committed (directed by Peter Flynn). Ryan got into acting
after working for the incredibly talented members of the National Theater
of the United States of America. He is a two-time Junior National Fencing
Champion in Épée, and Junior World Champion Finalist (Belgium,
1996). At UCSD his teachers include Kyle Donnelly, and Darko Tresjnak. Ryan
has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University.
