Penny Bittone (Alvin)
Penny has appeared in more than a dozen indie films featured in all major
film festivals, as well as a score of theater work in Los Angeles and now
in New York. He studied with some of the most qualified and inspiring teachers
in the West Coast, most notably Bobbi Shaw Chance, Tom Todorroff as well
as Charles Waxberg, Beverly Leech and Tim McNeil at the famed Stella Adler
Academy for Actors in Hollywood, where he spent close to two years. Mr.
McNeil, actor, playwright and coach, played a mentor role in the maturing
Mr. Bittone’s life as his private coach until Penny’s departure
to New York. After moving to New York City in September 2004, Penny wrapped
two short films, another film in Miami (which he co-wrote, co-directed,
and acted as set coach) a feature with another one set for production in
late July. He also performed in two Sam Shepard plays with the Michael Chekhov
Theater Company during their run of the Shepard festival. Penny is thrilled
to work on this production incorporating the spirits of creativity and social
challenge that represent the East Village, and New York City as a whole.
