| Sunay Akin Born in Trabzon in 1962, Sunay Akin is a poet, essayist, teacher, and historian. After graduating from the Department of Geography at Istanbul University, he published his first book, Makiler, in 1989. Makiler was followed by eleven others books, including eight volumes of essays and four of poetry. In addition to writing, Akżn makes documentaries and has appeared on television and radio programs on CNN Turk, TRT, and Best FM. His stand-up shows have recently received great attention among Turkish university students. Currently, Akin teaches literature and creative thinking at the Performing Arts Center of Marmara University and at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center. He is also the founder of the Toy Museum in Turkey. |
