Tolga Tüzün-Alper Yilmaz Project is the jazz-and improvisation-based
music project of New York-based musicians Tolga
Tüzün and Alper Yilmaz.
The Project reflects the joint experiences Tüzün and Yilmaz have
gained throughout a musical journey that started in Turkey more than twenty
years ago and seeks to combine improvisational elements of acoustic, electric,
and electronic music by using live-processing and sampling, loops, and
effects. The group's members combine their training and experience in
classical music and jazz with spectral analysis and instrumental synthesis
facilitated by innovative computer technology. As most of the sounds,
effects and loops are produced live, each of the eponymous duo's performances
is guaranteed to offer a unique musical experience.
Musicians:
Tolga Tüzün: piano, keyboards, synthesizers, computer, and electronic
effects
Alper Yilmaz: electric bass, electronic effects, and loops
Jason Scott: tenor saxophone
John Bollinger: acoustic drums, drum samples and effects
