| Tolga Tüzün Born in 1971 in Istanbul, Tolga Tüzün is an electro-acoustic music composer living in New York. Tüzün received a bachelor of arts in Political Science with a specialization in Communication Sociology and Semiology in 1993, but has since worked as a professional jazz musician and taught music theory and performance classes at various institutions. In 2002, Tüzün received his Master of Music Degree in composition from Istanbul Technical University, Center for Advanced Music Studies. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Music Program at The Graduate Center of The City University of New York and an adjunct lecturer at Brooklyn College. Tüzün's album, Nix, was released by Kalan Records, and features his own compositions and collaborations with some of Turkey's foremost improvisational and jazz musicians. |
