Cem Aksel (Drums)
Cem Aksel's interest in jazz and drums began while he was a junior high school student in Istanbul. He started to play professionally after his graduation. In 1983, he attended the Swiss Jazz School in Bern, Switzerland, but was not able to graduate due to financial difficulties. Since then, he has accompanied numerous recording artists on approximately sixty albums. Aksel has played with almost all of the prominent jazz musicians in Turkey.
