Five
Films by Zeki Demirkubuz >>
“Five Films by Zeki Demirkubuz” was our second collaborative
endeavor with Anthology Film Archives and presented American
audiences with a retrospective on the work of Zeki Demirkubuz,
an influential young Turkish writer, director, and producer.
Following our last retrospective, Ömer Kavur: Sculptor of
Cinematic Time, this film series explored the work of a daring
and uncompromising filmmaker who in recent years begun to
earn the notice of international film critics for his prodigious
talent and unique style. The films received strong review
from the Film Comment, the Village Voice and the Boston Globe.
The retrospective is presently touring the United States.
